santa rosa boy who was shot and killed by a sheriffs deputy last month. andy lopez was carrying a rifle -- a city rifle that the sheriffs deputy said he mistook for a real one. the shooting on october 22nd has since generated a wave of anger and protest from the community. the santa rosa press democrat reports one possible healing action supervisors may take on tuesday is to create a park bearing lopez' name in the neighborhood where he grew up and died. >>> teenage burn victim sasha fleischmann is looking forward to return to high school tomorrow after being released from a san francisco hospital on wednesday. he celebrated the holiday at home while recovering from severe burns suffered in a hate crime. he is identified as neither male nor female. he was riding on a bus when a 16-year-old boy set the teenager's skirt on fire while sasha was sleeping. sasha suffered major burns on the leg. chronicle said the straight-a student is looking forward to getting back to work as editor of the school magazine. the boy who set the fire, 16-year-old richard thomas, has been charged as an ad

heading out the door in santa rosa. mid 40s in the south bay, but take a look at where the south bay is heading. it's going to be a beautiful day. 72 degrees for palo alto. upper 50s for those of you in fremont this afternoon. 70 degrees expected in livermore. upper 670s along the -- 60s along the east bay shore. low 60s at ocean beach and more 70s on the north bay. 70 degrees expected for napa. for those of you heading to the niners game, it's going to be a beautiful game. temperature ins the mid to upper 60s. it's going to be nice and warm. looking at the satellite radar, we have high pressure that's keeping things mild around here, but we have a system to the north of us. we are not going to get too much moisture with this, it's the cooler air coming in. we are only going to get to the low 50s by midweek, so we have some cool days ahead for us. temperatures dropping below freezing in the inland spots and the temperatures slowly rebounding as we head into next week. marty? >> thank you. >>> well, bart is facing more problems with the possible lawsuit happening this week. let's star

the damage left behind after a high speed chase in santa rosa. police say two men took off after a routine traffic stop. blowing through red lights at speeds up to 100 miles per hour. the car smashed into that light pole and a fence, part of a house before bursting into flames. officers had to pull the driver out of the wreck. no word on what charges men might be facing. >> a coast guard helicopter had to rescue three people after their car plunged off an embankment. the car plunged just after midnight. a fourth person was able to get out and run up the road. speed or alcohol don't appear to be factors. >> volunteers of all ages got together in richmond to make sure the communities homeless had a warm holiday meal. they cooked quite the spread at the bay area rescue mission. all the usual menu items, the turkey, the mashed potatoes, gravy, and pie. >> i find people are very appreciative. we find out there are people that come, sometimes people are new to the community. sometimes people have been in the community for a long time. our goal is to serve. we are serving the community. >
